Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of procrastination and the students' self- perceptions of their academic achievement in senior high school at UPRHS during AY

2022-2023. Ninety-eight senior high school students from the University of the Philippines Rural High School served as the study's subjects. The level of academic procrastination and the student's self-perception of academic achievement were assessed using academic procrastination scales and academic performance scales, respectively. To make data collection more practical and convenient, online Google forms were used. The author utilized Spearman rho and the Wilcoxon signed-rank test to analyze the collected data. According to the results, the students' procrastination was already high before and had increased during the community quarantine. Additionally, it demonstrated that the students' academic performance was strong both before and during the community quarantine. Another type of analysis revealed a significant difference between students' levels of procrastination before and during the community quarantine but an insignificant difference in their academic performance.
