Mass media habits and attitudes of Fatima sisters in India

Abstract
Data on 148 Fatima sisters were gathered and analysed to find to what mass media does a relqicus sister expose herself, the frequency of the exposure, how media is useful to her, and what is Per asocssment of the adequacy and reliability of moss media. Relationship between the sisters' demographic characteristics and exposure to 11E. ia, frequency of media use and the attitudes towards media were also determined,Descriptive statistics were used in the profile analysis and Chi-square and Fischer's test were used to determine the relationships.Majority of the sisters were more frequently to TVfollowed by newspapers. The news items they prefered were local,national, and international as first, second and third choices respectively.. Among the other media contents, educational material was ranked first followed by socio-cultural and religious programs.
