Taxonomic review of rove beetles, staphylininae and oxytelinae (Staphylinidae: coleoptera) in rice agroecosystem in Luzon, Philippines

Abstract
A taxonomic review of Philippine Staphylininae and Oxytelinae associated with rice agroecosystem was conducted in Luzon, Philippines. Four different sampling methods were used namely; light trap, pitfall trap, sweep net sampling and visual sampling. Eleven subfamilies of Staphylinidae associated with rice agroecosystem were recorded. A total of ten genera and 26 species, including 6 undetermined species belonging to Staphylininae and Oxytelinae were identified and recorded in Luzon, Philippines. Checklist and key to the Philippine Staphylininae and Oxytelinae are provided.
