Abstract
This study aimed to draw three profiles of the outstanding Filipino scientist: his creativity profile, information-seeking profile and information-utilization profile; test on the country's selected outstanding agriculture and forestry scientists the validity of the ""Panukat ng Ugali at Pagkatao"" (PUP), apersonality and creativity test for Filipinos; and relate the scientists' creativity with information-seeking and information-use, and level of information-seeking with level of information-useThe creativity, information-seeking andinformation-using profiles generated by the study are not sufficient bases for recommending strategies either for the improvement of science information centers or the enhancement of science creativity among Filipino students. They may be used, however, to enrich future studies on Filipino science creativity and informationscience.Tests on the research hypotheses showed that the respondents' creativity was not related with theirinformation-seeking and information-use, and theirinformation-seeking was not related with their information-use.The PUP was found to he largely a personality test. It gives only a general indication of a person's creative potential. Thus, it may need to be revised to make it into a more accurate indicator of Filipino creativity.
