Abstract
The study focused on mainstreaming climate change adaptation in th BS Agriculture curicculum of selected CHED Centers pf Excellence in Agriculture. A total of 103 faculty members from Benguet State University (BSU), University of the Philippines Los Baǫs (UPLB), Visayas State University (VSU) and Central Mindanao University (CMU) participated in the study. Three factors (external, personal, institutional) were analyzed in relation to integration of climate change adaptation in the BSA curriculum. Personal (age, length of service and civil status) as well as organizational factors were found to be associated with the extent of integrating climate change adaptation concepts. Institutions whose faculty demonstrate favorable attitude and innovative behaviors on climate change adaptation manifest a higher ;evel of integration. ANOVA showed significant differences in respondents' age, academic rank, and length of service. At the individual level, results of correlation showed significant difference between number of training attended and attitude towards integration of climate change adaptation. Also, results of correlation showed significant difference in organizational mission, organization innovation and the adequacy of the organization's resources viz-a-viz the extent of climate change adaptation in the BSA curriculum. Conclusions drawn from the study point to the importance of institutional supports, general policy and guidelines mandating the SUC-CA to develop organization framework and strategies on CCA integration in the BSA curicculum.
