Abstract
The facility location problem when applied to the UPLB Campus is synonymous to the problem of an engineer in selecting the best location for a fire station to be built within the UPLB Campus. Considering the distances and degree of hazards of every building as constraints of the study, the method of Minieka and Hakimi were used Some general facts about the construction of the fire station were also considered. As a result, the best location for the fire station is within the road leading from the farthest house of the UPLB Faculty Housing to the Infirmary. To be more precise, it should be located 109.6 meters from the farthest house of the UPLB Faculty Housing to the Infirmary whose maximum distance to the farthest building, farthest house of the UPLB College of Forestry Staff Housing, is 1,668.4 meters.
