Abstract
This paper studied coloring the tiles of a square and rectangular boards. It develops formulas for counting the number of distinct colorings and of pattern inventories of the n x n tiled square and n x m tiled rectangular boards. Taking into consideration the rotation and flipping (turning over) of the said boards
