Abstract

The study was conducted to demonstrate CAI as a supplement tutorial for algebraic groups and to motivate students to appreciate the basic of Abstract Algebra (or Math III) It was designed as a combination of tutorial instruction design and drill-and-practice design. The lessons covered are: Binary Operations, Permutations, 4th Dihedral Groups, Group Axions and Theorems, Abelian Groups, Sugroups, and cyclic Groups and subgroups. For each lesson, concepts, definitions, theorems, supporting examples, and questions were presented. A quiz follows after each lesson. Thereafter, the student's performance in the quiz is evaluated.
