Abstract

The off-campus training was conducted at Ikapati Farm in Diliman, Quezon City. The farm uses the method of bio-dynamic farming. The geographic, topographic, soil type, climatic and socio-economic profile of the farm were discussed. Different farm operations were performed such as sowing, transplanting, weeding, ratooning, fertilizing, harvesting, compost preparation and bio-dynamic application.

Problems were cited and the possible solutions were given. These are the following: I) the farm needs a record on income to know if the •farm gains profit; 2) the electricity must be installed for the convenience of the workers and the customers who come up to seven in the evening; 3) a faucet must be installed in the farm's sales house; and 4) use of sprinkler irrigation to reduce labor for irrigation.
