Abstract

The major practice was conducted on a 4.5 hectare lanzones-based intercropping system located at Barangay Maahas, Los Baños, Laguna. It was intended to experience, observe and analyze the various aspects of production and management of a lanzones orchard.

Actual participation on the different cultural practices were performed and observe. Production data were acquired through an interview due to non-availability of complete farm records.

Some cultural and physical constraints were identified. These were: possible insect pest outbreaks: inappropriate irrigation method; declining yield of coconut; unsystematic plant spacing; poor record keeping and lack of planning activities. Appropriate solutions were recommended for use by the owner.
