Abstract

The profitability of producing mungo and bush sitao under coconuts and tomato, eggplant and muskmelon in the area exposed to sunlight was determined.

A very low income was obtained from planting of mungo (40.40/ha) and no income was obtained from bush sitao due to different factors ranging from heavy insect infestation, occurence of malignant diseases to delays in pertinent operations. A net income of P1,085.00 and P1,416.00 were obtained from tomato and eggplant. As in bush sitao no profit was obtained from muskmelon due to off-season planting and heavy insect infestation.
