Abstract

The Linear air track apparatus was interfaced to the computer The timer, from the internal system clock of the computer, was triggered by the signal coming from the photosensor of the apparatus. The hold and release of the gliders were automated ,by using an electromagnet, in order to reduce the error caused by the manual release of the glider. Tables and graphs were automatically constructed after experimentation and gathering data were performed Percentages error of 0.75% and 4.39% were obtained from comparing the experimental slope with the theoretical slope of velocity against time and distance against time squared.
