Abstract
The study experimentally determined the constant pd of air in an air-tungsten discharge tube where d is the Crookc's dark space(CDS) region and p is vacuum pressure. The CDS length was measured using a camera and a fixed scale on the discharge tube. The study also required the construction of a glass discharge tube with tungsten electrodes and a stainless cylindrical vacuum chamber as housing for the experiments. The value obtained using linear regression is pd. = 11.7 therefore the CDS length and vacuum pressure are inversely related.
