Abstract
A leak-detecting instrument based on differential pressure measurement using nitrogen gas was designed, implemented, tested, and evaluated. A timer circuit was developed to control the alarm device to inform the user when leak is detected on the optical instrument. Accuracy and reliability of the instrument was tested through the use of copper tubes in place of the optical instrument on test. Data gathered using copper tubes were compared to the data obtained using the actual instrument. It was found that the testing device was reliable and could be used for leak detection.
