Abstract

The major farm practice was held at Jaro Development Corporation Farms, located in Brgy. Buhay na Tubig, Imus, Cavite from April 19 to May 8, 2010. Its objective is to gain experience by giving the student the opportunity to put into practice the theoretical knowledge obtained from the university to actual farm operations by participating in the daily activities of the farm. JDC farm is a 255 - sow level commercial farm operating as a forrow-tofinish enterprise. experience doing the actual management practices done in a swine farm. The farm is a farrow-to-finish enterprise. The student was able to participate in all the management practices done in the farm from breeding of the animals up to the marketing of slaughter animals. She performed various activities suc as breeding,forrowing, weanling and marketing of animals. A technical analysis was done to assess the farm?s performance and to evaluate its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. The report also includes the problems encountered by the student and some recommendations
