Abstract

This practicum enables the student to gain professional experience, observe the real-world setting, and develop technical knowledge through working in a food company. The student experienced to work at Prifood Corporation located at Brgy. Mayapa, Calamba, Laguna from April to May 2012 for a period of 150 hours. Prifood Corporation produces snack foods such as corn chips and wafers. It's been operating for about seven years. During the practicum, the student is assigned in the two departments of the company namely Quality Assurance Department and the Product Research Department. Actual food processing and quality monitoring is observed and experienced. Maintenance and sanitary practices employed by the company is also noted.
