Abstract
Comparative histological analysis of liver, kidney, spleen and ovary of F7 survivors of sustained baiting with anticoagulant - Warfarin and their control was done to determine the histological effect of Warfarin. Analysis showed that the most observable morphological abnormality was necrosis as evidenced by the occurrence of pyknotic nucleus and intense acidophilic cytoplasm. Degeneration of tissues ranging from mild to moderate were also noted. Sinusoidal congestion and hemorrhages were also observed but not for all damaged organs. The survival of rats from parentals down to F7 generation and tissue changes exhibited by F7 rats indicates the survivor's capacity to sustain such tissue damage.
