Abstract
The study involved four enzyme systems (esterase, G6PD, acid phosphatase and alkaline phosphatase) obtained from four organs (liver, heart, eye and muscle) of tilapia (Oreochromys nilotica) taken from FERS-DA, Bambang, Los Banos, Laguna and Sampaloc Lake, San Pablo, Laguna Electrophoresis of the different organ homogenates was done to obtain the banding pattern of the four enzymes. Results show that the banding patterns of the four enzyme systems were organ-dependent. The electrophoretic banding pattern might have been affected by the presence of pesticide residues in the water .
