Abstract

This paper discusses the typical methods in the production of an electronic assembly. It tackles the process flow of manufacturing Heckdeckelsteuergeraet (HDSG) products built from its raw materials up to the finished product. It discusses the process flow in the production lines which specialize in surface mount technology and electronic testing. Operations of machines involved in the entire production are also described. In order to ensure high product yield and customer satisfaction, Temic implements strict quality considerations during production and testing. This manuscript includes discussions on quality issues in the assembly line and process control to prevent defective products.
