Abstract

This study analyzed the factors influencing the UPLB BS Economics students' decision to pursue graduate study, particularly the Master's degree. Primary data from 113 UPLB BS Economics alumni, who graduated from 2012-202, were collected in the study. the results from the survey were used for the descriptive analysis of the respondents' socioeconomic characteristics and utilized for the binary logistic regression analysis of the relationship between the independent variables and the students' decision to pursue a Master's degree. The binary logistic regression showed that the influence of the respondents' family, friends and professors and the influence of job opportunities or career betterment significantly influence the respondents' decision to pursue a Master's degree.
