Abstract
The occurrence d pipturus at arborescens (Link) C. S. Rob In the poor soil a Taal Island has led previous workars to look at the nitrogenase activity in its non-modulated roots. This study considered the isolation of microorganisms associated with the different regions of the root a this plant by the serial dilution technique. The predominant isolates from the rhizoephere, rhizoplane and histosphere appeared the same organism however. Morphological and biochemical tests conducted on the isolate indicated that the bacteritium belongs to the genus Bacillus.
