ABO blood group incompatibilities occur among Filipinos. From the year 1988 to 1991, a total of 165 ABO blood incompatibilities out of the 55,403 new born infants were recorded in four different hospitals in Manila and one in Laguna. Blood type O had the highest frequency as compared to the other types of ABO blood group incompatibilities.
