Abstract
Carbon paste electrode modified with lahar was investigated for voltammetric analysis of lead (11). The electrohemical behavior of the modified electrode was determined using cyclic voltammetry and differential pulse voltammetry. Sharp, well-defined peak was generated upon differential pulse stripping voltammetric analysis. Several experimental parameters were optimized so as to achieve the maximum current peak response. Optimized parameters are as follows: HCI as electrolyte solution, two-minute accumulation time, 300 second deposition time. —1200 mV deposition potential, and pH 4 of accumulating solution. The limit of detection was estimated at 0.368 ppm and a limit of quantitation of 1.234 ppm. Precision and repeatability of data were also established. Regeneration of the electrode surface was confirmed using multiple stripping with DPASV. The modified electrode was further tested on actual laboratory waste samples.
