The study was undertaken to investigate the effects of feeding 30% ipil-ipil leaf meal on the weekly hepatic catalase activity of the guinea pig,
Thirty two male guinea pigs were equally distributed to the four treatment groups designated as A, B, C and D for 0% ipil-ipil leaf meal and E, F, G and H for 30% ipil-ipil leaf meal. Treatment lasted for a total of three weeks.
Using Duncan's multiple range test, the mean hepatic catalase activities of the guinea pigs fed with 30% ipil-ipil leaf meal in their diet were found not to differ significantly with those fed with 0% ipil-ipil in their diet. Also, the mean catalase activities in each treatment were not significantly different with each other,
