Abstract

Experiments were conducted to study the influence of depth and rate of seeding on the effectiveness of DCPA for weed control in upland rice, variety Palawan. Increased protection against DCPA injury was observed at deeper seeding. Increased rate of seeding, however, did not minimize the injurious effects of DCPA on upland rice.

DCPA at 8, 10 and 12 kg/ha. effectively con- trolled Rottboellia exaltata L. f., Eleusine indica L. and Dactyloctenium aegyptium Gaertn. but not rotundus L.
