Abstract
The percentage of rooting obtained with "water sprout" cuttings was 54 per cent. The treatment with 100 mgm per liter of IBA had 84 per cent rooting. Of the different media used, coir dust had 84 per cent rooting, vermioulite 78 per cent and the combination of coir dust and vermiculite 62 per cent.
A four-week hardening period of the rooted cuttings in the mist chamber was required in order to get a high percentage of survival of rooted cuttings.
