Abstract

The major practice was from April 15 to May 28, 2013 at the Coca-Cola Bottlers Philippines, Inc, Sta. Rosa, Laguna. The primary objective of the OJT program was to acquaint the student with the actual business operations of the chosen company, in this case, the Coca-Cola Bottlers Philippines, Inc. The student was assigned at the following divisions of the Quality Assurance Department: 1) Sensory evaluation laboratory; 2) Packaging department; and 3) Production lines. Hands-on training on sensory testing, packaging, and quality control enabled him to identify and understand the various stages of production. He was likewise able to familiarize himself with the production processes that ensured quality control over full goods. The practicum experience enabled the author to draw connections between theories learned from the university and practices in field operations. The practicum has put the academic learning in context and has provided the author valuable insights.
