Abstract

The plant practice was conducted at Cariño and Sons Agri-Development Incorporated(CASADI) located at Barangay Aya, San Jose, Batangas. The duration was from May 7, 2014 to June 4, 2014 for a total of 150 hours. The company is engaged in poultry processing with fresh chicken as the main product in the basic processing. In the further processing, chickens are processed depending on customer specifications. The trainee was tasked with different responsibilities from office work to production area. The trainee was oriented about the whole process and was familiarized with the plant both in the basic processing and further processing areas. Several activities include doing files for the upcoming audit by a customer company, packaging, and inspection of the quality of final product. The trainees was also taught proper way of obtaining chlorine content and temperature of carcass. These helped her gain first-hand experiences and she was able to apply the knowledge learned from the University. There were some problems encountered during the practicum which were also addressed. Some recommendations were made for the improvement of the company.
