Abstract

The plant practice was undertaken at the Katipunan ng Kooperatiba ng Manggagatas, Inc. (KKMI) at Brgy, Lamot II, Calauan, Laguna from April to May 2013. The KKMI Dairy Plant is composed of eight cooperatives with a total of 412 dairy farmers. On November 14, 2003, the plant received accreditation from Bureau of Food and Drugs. The student gained invaluable knowledge and experience in working in a dairy plant. The student participated at every opportunity he was assigned to, starting from milk collection, quality control wherein he performed oragnoleptic tests, pysico-chemical tests and microbiological tests. The student also experienced working with the plant?s clients knowing their problems and the usual solutions they employed. The student employed theoretical knowledge that he gained at the university and experienced working as a team in the plant. The student analyzed the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats that he observed while working in the plant.
