Abstract
The study was conducted to determine the effects of organically- produced Lactic Acid Bacteria Serum (LABS) supplementation in drinking water on growth performance of weanling pigs. Sixteen weanling pigs (7-15 kg initial weight) were individually- penned and randomly distributed in four treatments: (1) control diet + drinking water; (2) control diet + drinking water supplemented with 5 grams antibiotics; (3) control diet + drinking water supplemented with 30mL LABS and; (4) control diet + drinking water supplemented with 60mL LABS. The treatments were distributed following randomized complete block design with weight as the blocking factor. The weanling pigs were fed with pre- starter diet for 30 days. Results showed that there is no significant difference in average daily gain, feed intake, feed conversion ratio and scouring incidence among the treatments.
