Abstract

The practicum was conducted at Purebev International Corporation, a company that provides facilities for the manufacturing of milk and fruit juices in carton packages, located at Trece Martires City, Cavite from May 14 to June 5, 2013. The trainee was assigned at different divisions within the Quality Assurance Department of the company such as the QA Central Laboratory and Station Laboratory. The student was exposed to different aspects of food processing such as microbiology, chemistry and engineering. He was able to put into practice some theories learned at the university. The student performed physico-chemical analysis, microbiological analysis, sensory evaluation and package integrity test. During the internship program, he was able to work with discipline and integrity especially in making analysis reports. The student?s interest in the job enabled him to get along with the analysts, operators and other employees, and to discover different things in life. The training enabled him to learn new things and hone his skill through hands-on practice.
