Abstract
The practicum was conducted at the Newly Weds Foods Philippines Inc., Carmelray Industrial Park I, Canlubang Laguna from April 11 to May 23, 2013 for the period of 240 hours. Newly Weds Foods is a joint venture known as the worlds' largest producer of costumized food coatings and seasonings. NWFP formerly known as New Food Coatings was established in the Philippines on 2002 as provider of atate-of-the-art food coating system for industrial food sector throughout thr country and the South East Asia. During the practicum, the student was assigned to the Quality Control and Research and Development Divisions under the technical Department of the NWFP and conducted different physiochemical analyses , product development, quality control and inspections of raw materials and finished goods. The student was exposed to different technical and social skills as part of the training experience in the food industry. Technical difficulties and problems encountered were mentioned as well as their recommended solutions.
