Abstract
This study attempts to determine the viability of establishing a 2-hectare bamboo plantation in Rodriguez, Rizal. Philippine wood supply suffered a great amount of decrease in the past ten years. People are starting to find substitute to timber supply. Bamboo is deemed to be one of the best substitutes to wood because of its wood-like characteristics. It is also more economical to produce because of its uses in many industries. The project site is located in Brgy. San Isidro, Rodriguez, Rizal. The propsed bamboo plantation is feasible. There are 9 wood based furniture manufacturers that are willing to absorb the poles. The plantation can only handle a decrease in production and volume of sales of up to 26 percent. Below that, the project is not feasible.
