Abstract
Identiying risks is important in construction especially if some of the components or members of the structure were changed. Structural remodeling of the structure is needed in order to address these concerns. Thus the study is about evaluating the structural steel beams of columns of Global Medical Center of Laguna using Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis. To determine the members that are most susceptible to failure, structural analysis program Dlubal RFEM is used in order to determine the parts that will be critical based on given load conditions and their respective failure mode. Upon considering 11 load combinations, the failure modes of the structural steel beams and columns were identified and the failure modes of the critical members were identified. Majority of the structural members which are most critical to failure are the steel beams. And based on the result RF-STEEL AISC, the critical steel beams have governing failure mode of in-plane instability which is a tolerate risk provided that maintenance is regular based on the created risk matrix.
