Abstract
The decolourization of Acid Orange 7 dye, an acid azo dye, using Titanium dioxide photocatalysis was studied. The highest average percent colour reduction was observed to be 26.05%. Analysis of Variance of the 2degree Full Factorial Design of reduction of the dye. Moreover, all parameters are rendered significant. All parameters showed direct proportional relationship to the colour reduction except initial dye concentration which showed inverse relationship. With all two-way parameter interactions considered, fourteen to fifteen interactions were determined to be significant.
