Abstract
This thesis examines the representation of marital infidelity in No Other Woman, One More Try, and The Mistress using Shulamith Firestone's feminist theory. It particularly uses Firestone's notion of Romanticism and its three major elements such as eroticism, sex privatization, and ideal beauty in perpetuating women?s oppression. The author highlights how Firestone's claim about the oppressive role of media is present in the portrayal of women?s experiences of marital infidelity.
