This system has brought Public AES at stake for this has been viewed as one of the factors that impede the growth of agricultural production. Despite the initiatives of the Philippine government to distribute state power in the field of agriculture in the form of Devolved AES, the state still find it hard to cater the growing demands of different sectors of agricultural industry. The study is to determine the factors that may hinder or contribute Privatization of Agricultural Extension Services (PAES)in Pangil, Laguna. 80 farmer respondents were categorized according to their view on PAES here are as follows: Agree, Disagree and Undecided group. Results showed that farmers who would disagree on PAES have the following distinct characteristics: high educational attainment (college graduate), midlife stage (35-50 years old), with small size of farm of about 𕟨.39 ha., affiliated to provincial, regional and national based farmer organizations and are not willing to pay for extension services whether given by government agencies or private sectors.
