Abstract

The results indicate that differences in the rate of application affected the yield and vigor eggplant (Variety Native Long Purple) significantly. The 300-kilogram treatment produced tallest plants and the control, smallest. Flowering was also earliest in the 300-kilogram treatment; the 250-kilogram treatment was next; the 150-kilogram third; and the control last, last.

The yield in number and weight of marketable fruits, was highest in the 300-kilogram treatment and was followed in descending order by 250, 200, and 150-kilogram treatment and the control.

The quality of fruits in the treated plots as considered better than the control; but, the control outranked all the treated plots in keeping quality. The color of the fruits did not vary so much among the treated plots; the control showed a much lighter intensity.
