Abstract

Ratoon crop of Feterita variety of sorghum from both the dry and wet seasons of the seed crop was subjected to three nitrogen fertilization rates, three row spacings, and three plant population per hectare based on the seed crop at the U.P.C.A. Central Experiment Station.

Highest grain yield was observed at the 150-kilogram rate of nitrogen followed by the 100-kilogram rate and the least at the 50-kilogram rate in both the dry-and wet-season ratoon crop. Heading hastened by increasing the amount of nitrogen fertilization. Row spacing and plant population did not significantly affect grain yield.
