Abstract

The rate of growth and the degree of affinity or congeniality of Szinkom mandarin scion as influenced by eight different kinds of rootstocks: Kulubot, calamandarin, Troyer citrange, Cleopatra mandarin, Koethen sweet orange, Rough lemon, Pomeroy trifoliate, and Sainkom mandarins, were studied in the citrus orchard, Department of Agronomy, U. P. College of Agriculture.

The results of this study indicate that rough lemon, Kulubot and Szinkom mandarin stocks appeared to be the best for Szinkom mandarin scions based on increase in diameter of scion and stock, height of budling and spread of canopy, and on resistance to disease infection during the first year.
