Abstract

The paper attempted to determine the acceptability of rattan waste-based CBBs in Quezon City. This was done by describing the buying behavior of respondents with regards to wood boards, determining the level of awareness and familiarity with regards to CBBs, evaluating the CBBs in terms of attributes that are required and important to buyers, suggesting product development strategies to address gaps between desired and current product attributes, and recommend strategies to facilitate product introduction if the CBB is found acceptable. The results showed that the rattan waste-based CBB was unacceptable to the respondents due to low ratings for selected attributes. The results from this paper may be used to improve rattan waste-based CBBs before introducing it to the market.
