Bougainvillae "Mahara" cutting were treated with varying concentrations of IBA for rooting in the Ornamental Horticulture Section, Agronomy Department from February 1967 to June 1967.
Six different concentrations and three (3) soaking periods were used on 180 cuttings. On the whole, the effect of IBA on the rooting of the cuttings was highly significant. The most effective treatments were 200 and 250 ppm with 24-hour soaking.
