Abstract

Nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium when applied singly had no significant effect on the root yield and other characters of cassava (Manihot utilissima Pohl.); however, a combination of 100, 90, and 90 kilograms per hectare of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium respectively, gave the highest yield of storage roots (50 tons/hectare). The tallest plants (2.96 meters) were obtained from a combination of 200 kg nitrogen and 90 kg potassium.
