Abstract

Wagwag strain No. 147 gave a mean of 11.58 in number of bearing culms; Strain no. 471, 11.94; and the control, 12.70. Strain No. 147 flowered 154 days after sowing and matured in 185 days; Strain No. 471 flowered in 157 days and matured in 187 days; and the control flowered in 157 days and matured in 187 days. The Strains and the control did not vary statistically in their yields.
