Abstract

The influence of different concentrations of indolebutyric acid on the rooting of softwood or semi-hardwood lumbang stem cuttings was studied in two separate experiments from November, 1968 to June, 1969.

IBA solutions of 0, 100, 2 , 300 and 400 ppm had no effect on rooting when cuttings were planted under greenhouse condition and 0, 50 and 100 ppm under modified propagating bins. Appreciable amounts of buds were induced to sprout in both experiments but rooting was not obtained in any case.
