Abstract

The shapes of the seednuts and their floating positions in water did not differ significantly in seedling character six months after planting. However, seedlings from oblong nuts which floated vertically were in general more vigorous than those from nuts that floated horitontally and obliqualy. Oblong nuts which floated horizontally gave rise to the least vigorous seedlings.
