Abstract

Of the native inbred lines of corn, ten were found to be good combiners (41.7 per cent of the total). (C 1-1 C. F. and C 40-2 C. F.) Two of these good combiners were significantly taller and six (C-32-2, C 27-2, C 41-1, C 36-6, C 13-2, and C 33-2) had significantly more leaves than College Yellow flint.
