Abstract

The digestibility of rice straw, except for its fiber content, was increased with the addition of concentrates as supplements.

The animals did not vary significantly in their ability to digest the different rations. There was a highly significant difference in the digestibility of the organic matter, protein, fat and nitrogen—free-extract contents of the rations. The digestibility of fiber in the different rations did not vary significantly and its digestibility was decreased with the addition of concentrates.

Negative values for protein and fat were obtained in the digestibility of rice strew by the difference method shish ma; be due to the associative effect of the concentrates when added to rice strew which has low values for Protein and fat.
