Abstract

The chicks fed with the college all mash brooding rations supplemented with Aurofac had a faster rate of growth and lower mortality than the chicks fed with rations supplemented with dried cow manure. At 12 weeks of age, the chicks fed with rations supplemented with Aurofac (lot I) were heavier than those fed with the cow manure supplemented rations (lot 2). Mortality was higher in lot 2 than in a lot 1. On the average, however, the birds in both lots required practically the same amount of feed to produce the same unit of gain in weight. Lot I gave higher returns above the cost of feed than lot 2.
