Abstract

The study was conducted to identify the influence of gender and the other pre identified predisposing factors affecting the sustainable entrepreneurial intention of Gen Zs (Core Youth) in Bacoor, Cavite, Philippines, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Specifically, it sought to: 1) describe the sustainable entrepreneurial intention of the core youth of Bacoor, Cavite as affected by various predisposing factors amidst the COVID-19 pandemic; 2) explain how the COVID-19 pandemic changed the way the respondents perceive entrepreneurship; 3) analyze the relationship of gender and other predisposing factors to their intention toward sustainable entrepreneurship amidst the COVID-19 pandemic; and 4) determine the influence of gender and other predisposing factors on the sustainable entrepreneurial intention of the respondents the amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. The research was conducted using a qualitative research method with a total of 142 respondents determined through purposive sampling. A self-administered survey questionnaire through Google forms was used as a research instrument. The data gathered were presented using descriptive statistics, Spearman’s correlation, Cramér’s V, and ordinal logistic regression analysis. Results showed that gender, green marketing factors, changing consumer behavior, and favorable market conditions have a weak positive correlation to sustainable entrepreneurial intention, which means that regardless of a small effect between variables, there is a positive relationship, and as one variable increases, the other variable also tends to increase. Thus, it was concluded that all four factors (gender, green marketing factors, changing consumer behavior, and favorable market conditions) influenced intention toward sustainable entrepreneurship.
